A global SRI delegation attended the 6th International Rice Congress (IRC) in Manila, Philippines, from October 16-19, 2023. Representatives from Chile, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nigeria, the Philippines, the UK, and the USA participated. They delivered scientific presentations and engaged with attendees at the SRI booth. Additionally, they joined side events such as an SRI Research Network meeting and SRI field trips. Throughout the Congress, 6 presenters covered topics including adaptation, soil microbiome, plant physiology, yield enhancement, plant spacing, water management, and climate change mitigation.
